This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for www.pamida.com (the “Website”).  The Website is owned and operated by Pamida Stores Operating Co., LLC (“Pamida”). Pamida makes every effort to create an online environment that is safe, easy, and respectful of your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies only to the information collected by the Website and does not apply to any other websites linked to the Website and operated by our retail partners including, but not limited to, the online photo center (LifePics) and product protection plans (AMT Warranty). These websites are not owned or operated by Pamida and have their own privacy policies. Please note that the Pharmacy portion of the Website has a separate notice of privacy practices due to requirements of federal law. Pamida’s Privacy Policy encompasses the following:

1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the Website, how it is used, and with whom it may be shared.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

Browser Data.  Pamida is the sole owner of the information collected on this Website. When you visit the Website, we use technology that automatically recognizes your domain name, your computer’s operating system, the type of browser you’re using, the address of the web page from which you enter our Website, and the pages you view as you use pamida.com. This technology does not identify you personally—it simply helps us compile statistics about our visitors and their use of the Website so we can improve our content and design.

Cookies.  We use "cookies" on this Website. A “cookie” is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. We use cookies to identify repeat visitors and help us improve your access to our Website. Cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our visitors to enhance their experience on our Website. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.  You may disable cookies in your browser’s settings, but doing so may require you to re-enter your information more often when using our Website and certain Website features may not function properly.

Personally Identifiable Information.  We collect personal information consisting of the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email, the email addresses of those who make comments or provide feedback via the Website, and the information that you provide in response to online surveys and sweepstakes entries. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this Privacy Policy. We may match user information with offline data available from other sources in order to carry out our services and conduct our advertising and promotions more effectively. When you order goods that may be available for purchase on the Website, including Pamida Gift Cards, we collect additional personal information including your name, address, phone number, credit card or other payment information, and the “ship to” name and address, if different than your name and address. We collect credit card account numbers and expiration dates each time you make a purchase so we can process the transaction, but we do not permanently retain credit card information. We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. We will not share this information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, for example, to ship your order.

Children Under 13:  Pamida cares about protecting the privacy of children. We won’t knowingly allow anyone under 13 to provide us any personally identifiable information. Children should always get permission from their parents before sending any information about themselves (such as their names, email addresses, and phone numbers) over the Internet, to us, or to anyone else. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete that information. Security Measures

We take precautions to protect your information. Our Website is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, which means that your personally identifiable information, including credit card numbers and expiration dates, is protected according to prevailing industry practices. Wherever we collect sensitive information such as credit card data, that information is encrypted using SSL technology and transmitted to us in a secure way.
